705811 2008-09-17 00:42:00 does anybody have any suggestions on what books or websites to learn netbeans using java for a complete beginer. I have tried the neatbeans homesite site but i need a little more. Deffinately a learning curve for me :waughh: Thank you :) sandyb (3901)
705812 2008-09-17 01:36:00 For learning the NetBeans IDE (how to create a project etc), pretty much their documentation is the best place to start:
www.netbeans.org

If you are trying to learn Java at the same time, then Sun's website:
java.sun.com

Or another very good resource for Java is the JavaRanch, they have excellent forums to post your questions:

705814 2008-09-18 00:08:00 A book that gets good reviews is Head First Java:
www.amazon.com

I don't own that book, but have the Head First Design Patterns book, the style that it's written in makes for interesting reading.
