| 705399 | 2008-09-15 22:26:00 | Morning all. I've been wrestling with my Synaptics touchpad unsuccessfully. When my email is set to HTML, I cannot scroll the message. However a mouse will scroll. What happens is that instead of scrolling, a little arrows icon shows up under the cursor but nothing else. Any idea what settings I need to change? |

You may need to adjust something in the Touchpad drivers properties, sorry I dont have that info, maybe someone else has (what brand/model laptop/notebook do you have?). a little arrows icon shows up under the cursor Sounds like the icon you'd get if you click the scroll wheel on a mouse, a possible clue to a fix/adjustment? |

In my case scrolling works in IE, Firefox, PDF, Word, everything except Outlook Express. Even then, it will work in OE if reading is changed to Plain Text. However I prefer HTML. Bit of a mystery and I've tried changing settings, going back to defaults etc. If a solution ever arrives I'll post back. When using the mouse, scrolling in OE works!! So why not the touchpad? |
