| 706823 | 2008-09-22 01:17:00 | Just started noticing last night that whenever I open up a folder cpu usage peaks to about 60% and stays there till i navigate a couple of folders deep. I used process explorer to watch explorer.exe and browseui.dll is the culprit behind all the cpu usage. I had a little look around on the net, and found nothing definitive about cause or fix. Using vista 64 business Anyone got any ideas on where to look now? |

For some reason there was a shortcut to "my sites on msn" in my computer. I had not seen it previously because of window size, and it being below the "devices with removable storage" partition. I deleted it and instantly cpu usage dropped to normal. Navigating around it seems to be fine now. Looking on google it looks like its something to do with windows live. |

| 706826 | 2008-09-22 04:27:00 | browseui.dll is a component that contains functions and resources for IE browser UI management. This is a Microsoft program. I've taken it out with HJT and had no issues with IE at all. |
