706333 2008-09-19 09:27:00 morning fellas,

I bought WAR yesterday, put the disc in and installed upto the point where is asks for WAR2 DVD

So i put in disc 2 and the DVD wont read it, jsut makes a funny noise likes its about to read it but then stops.
i tried it on my mothers laptop and it worked 1st time, but unfortunately the laptop isn't good enough for WAR.

after hitting rer a few times it comes up with

E:\setup\WAR\...\...\data2\* does not exist, but it clearly does cos it works on the laptop

any suggestions or could the disc jsut be fussy and i need to replace it?

anything, no matter how trivial would be helpful =)

706334 2008-09-19 10:41:00 I'd first make a copy of the dvd on your mum's laptop and see if the newly burned one will read ok on yours - if it does, problem solved, if not, next option..... :) bevy121 (117)

I'm buring it now, im going up town anyway so il get new discs.
Even if the newly burned one does work, its always good to have back ups, so thanks again =)

706336 2008-09-19 21:13:00 When this happens it usually is a DVD writer/burner fault. The laser beam is slightly out of line. I use to have this problem with another game. Luckily I had to DVD drives in my computer. The other one would read it no problem.

706337 2008-09-21 13:39:00 i copied DVD2 on the laptop and it read 1st time, no problem on the PC.

I took the original discs back to the store and got replacements, and another 30day acsess code for the game :banana

only problem now is that MY pc has over the minimun required specs to paly the game, yet i am still getting only 8-19 FPS...new PC time me thinks
