A lawyer, no matter how much he postures could never be considered Left by anyone True Left by dint of his profession alone, the weak posturing buffoon I refer to was the start of the delusion that Labour has remained a Left party as it was infiltrated by Right Wing losers, who wanted a job in politics, because they couldn't get a job under National. As for the solutions, why, anyone who hasn't had their humanity squelched by swallowing hook line and sinker the doctrinaire teachings of the State could just use their common sense to determine that. The first thing to do is stop being so greedy, you can't take it with you when you die and guess what you will quite soon, as will we all. I have been complaining for years to anyone who would listen about the bad path that I saw NZ taking. Too many sheeple not enough people. I will not accept any blame. The most educated bunch of idiots in the world. |

Would you mind telling us what you personally have done to help prevent this sort of thing happening? Have you been helping those who bash their kids to get over it somehow? Have you been working with those who try to detect this sort of thing? Have you been helping social workers? Have you been working along side CYFS? Have you been doing something so clever it will actually make a difference? It seems that its all to easy to divert the blame, or the responsibility for peoples actions from the people who stuff up big time, and put it on govt or something. Fact of the matter is that the govt reflects you and i and our resources, so if you feel strongly that something needs to be done to support those who kill their children, then i suggest that you go and actually do something rather than waiting for "the govt" to do more than it already is. If your not prepared to but blame on those who beat their children to death, then i'm afraid you'll just have to except blame along with all the rest of us for not doing whatever it was we were supposed to do to prevent this. |

I have just the thing to support those who kill their children, it is called a rope . I propose supporting them by the neck using the aforementioned rope until they are no longer able to harm anyone ever again . After that, their god can take over . In case anybody winges that this is a cruel and unusual punishment, uncivilised, a violation of human rights, violence begets violence or any other weak-kneed social claptrap, etc etc, I have an alternative proposal, which is beating them to death with an aluminium baseball bat . I'm big on "do unto others" as well . I give my personal guarantee that this will have a 100% success rate in preventing all child killers who are provided with this therapy from ever harming another child . Might even stop a few who are just thinking about it . Billy |

I should have written: Are you prepared to do something to help change the mind of those who might beat their own children to death? referring to the concept the others, govt, you, me, or the world are somehow responsible, but certain individuals who are complaining about the above are exempt. Either way, the responsibility for killing rests with the killers IMHO. |

Complaining does not solve the problem, it just shows lack of conviction, as if you were truly concerned you would have done something about it .
