har-dee har har.

At the moment I'm actually trying to download some V8 Supercars series. Missed some of the live footage of the Sunday event 2 weeks ago, so I'm trying to get it. No luck for the latest one though.

706867 2008-09-22 10:12:00 none of that was actually proven, even with cash prizes put up by utorrent developers. no one could provide actual proof. The IPs mine contacts are for utorrent updates and a multicast address, which does not leave your lan.

hhmm, I just tested it with the latest version, I'm wrong when it comes to the newest version, 1.8.

I know for a fact that the older versions (for example 1.7) contacted several IPs, which included IPs belonging to media sentry, timewarner telecom (twtelecom in ip lists) and Peer 1 Network AUP Enforcement

706868 2008-09-22 12:31:00 well easy to see (using PeerGuardian) - and you're not wrong, your computer will still contact all those in version 1.8 as well.

Don't know what you "tested" with, but look at this list (www.imagef1.net.nz) for only about 4 minutes that I just run uTorrent for - see how many are blocked...
(and thats with nothing downloading at all)

MediaSentry (en.wikipedia.org) for one, very frequently every time you have uTorrent running. (SafeNet)

And many others
