| 706755 | 2008-09-22 06:11:00 | How many digits are unreadable ? I dunno cos I can't read them! :( They are immediately above the last two sets of 5 digits in the product key. Looks like it may have been 26862 (but maybe the 6's are actually 0's and the 2 could be a 7  ) and then there is a wee gap of about 3mm to 4mm then something else which I definitely can't read. Will try and post a pic (product key blanked out of course!) |

| 706757 | 2008-09-22 06:43:00 | Sorry my mistake should have read the posts fully :o For some stupid reason thought you couldn't read the full product key. I think that number will relate to the version of the OS, Eg: OEM, Retail etc. Just looked on mine and its OEM SP1 Starts with X10 - What I have found with XP Pro- if the product Code was for a XP Pro or XP Pro SP1, then you have to use the same CD, in other words a XP Pro SP2 CD wont sometimes work on XP Pro ( no Service pack). I suspect yours will be a XP Pro ( no service pack) IF you can go by the X numbers - I have just dragged out an OLD PC Company XP Pro CD - its code is X08- 37709. Looked up the code you provided and theres not a lot I can see that says what its to. |
