706473 2008-09-20 05:19:00 Hi Everyone

I have Windows Media Player 11 and I want to switch back to version 10. Sould I perform this operation?

Also I'm downloading Windows XP SP3. is there anything I should know before downloading SP3? I've heard lots of complaints about SP3.

Also how do you remove Windows vista Home Basic on a multi booting system?

Thanks

706474 2008-09-20 06:33:00 You could try uninstall Media Player 11, it ought to revert. SP3 works fine for most of us mostly, complaints are a by-product of P C use. Why would you want to remove Vista? PENTIUM (426)

These are the basic steps:
Here's the basic steps you need to do:

1. Backup, backup, backup
2. Reboot and Boot to your XP CD-ROM
3. Start the Recovery Console
4. Run Fixboot
5. Run fixmbr to reset the master boot record
6. Exit the Recovery Console
7. Reboot
8. To remove the extra entry, edit the boot.ini file to remove the "Microsoft Windows Longhorn" entry.
9. Format Your Vista Partition

706476 2008-09-21 08:18:00 Use Easybcd to remove it from the boot menu

Its probably the easiest way to do it

All you have to do, is install this tick the vista option to remove it from the boot menu, then reboot

Then format the partition its on
