Yesterday, I installed McAfee Wireless Security (ex www.netzwerktotal.de) on my Tecra 8000 laptop, to enable Win 98 to work with WPA security, which it would not otherwise do, and solved a long term problem. (See thread 93477.) It worked well and has been through several boot cycles without problem. Today, in four boot-ups, two have resulted in the below, while two have worked. In each case where the below resulted a wireless connection could not / was not established. On the latest boot-up, it worked fine. 'A fatal exception error 0E has occurred at 0028 : C1588E75 in VXD ANIO(01) + 00002E15. The current application will be terminated. *Press any key to terminate (etc)...' Can anyone advise the cause and remedy for this? Cheers. Dave |
