707463 2008-09-24 05:35:00 xnet has been having majors today, seems to be a regular occurence with them now. Lee08 (13930)
707464 2008-09-24 05:49:00 Feel free to use my server in the meantime (210.48.62.47). Note that this is not normally an open server, and will be locked down again once Xnet's problems are resolved. Erayd (23)

Really? I haven't experienced any issues with xnet since....I can't remember, I have xnet at home and xnet at work.

They can't help a DDoS attack, and frankly I didn't even know, I had some trouble seeing some sites earlier but I thought it was because we have been throttled back as we have exceeded our monthly cap (by 3x), but nothing since then.

I'm still loving their service and billing system that works, as opposed to TotalConfusion, ah...telstraclear, that couldn't arrange something funny in a funny place (feeling lazy, home time).

Apparently they have a work around in plan. Now when it can't find a website I get redirected to guide.opendns.com?

707467 2008-09-24 10:27:00 Explains a few "funnies" experienced this afternoon. linw (53)
707468 2008-09-24 22:21:00 'Funnies' is not the half of it.
I was watching TV fine last night when all of a sudden it froze. (I have a mediaportal TV Server which the client connects to to stream live TV)
When trying to reconnect to the TV server it would just sit there not responding.
When I tried to ping the TV server via it's computer name 'tv-pc', for some reason, I would get a response from the opendns server over the internet!
Pinging the known IP, 192.168.2.100, would get a response as well.
I removed the gateway IP on the client and everything was fine again.
Haven't tried it again today yet to see if it is still playing up as some bugger has damaged our phone line again and the internet is not working and phone is crackly as...
