| 477903 | 2006-08-12 08:53:00 | Other IDG publication sites are dead too. Computerworld, IDGnet, CIO, Reseller News... | vinref (6194) | ||
| 477904 | 2006-08-12 09:12:00 | Other IDG publication sites are dead too. Computerworld, IDGnet, CIO, Reseller News... Yep :(, but I am surprised that the PC World Blogs: blogs.pcworld.co.nz blogs.pcworld.co.nz blogs.pcworld.co.nz blogs.pcworld.co.nz blogs.pcworld.co.nz & Lucky PressF1 are still online :D I can ping / Tracert the pcworld / idg servers fine (so they are still online) so it looks like the pcworld / idg servers have crashed (either httpd or Java) (I think the idg servers are still running a Java server like what PressF1 use to run) It will be interesting to see what they say on Monday (if they do say any thing) |

| 477905 | 2006-08-12 09:38:00 | stu161204, I too cannot access some of the features. But, thanks to your links, I can now check on Geoff Palmer's Tux Love Blog. I have added that link to my bookmarks. The error that I kept getting was that Firefox couldn't connect with the server at PC World. I wondered if it was a problem in recognition of Firefox. Recently, i found that I couldn't complete an on line booking with our overseas airline using Firefox. However, their website accepted Opera 8.52 without a murmur. (Using Firefox 1.5.0.6 and Xandros here) Thanks for the link. :thumbs: Jim |
