477797 2006-08-11 16:31:00 hey people, m just a little confused here... whats the deal with people buying or selling 5cent coins.. i know its no longer in circulation but does this mean the older the coins are the more value it holds( meanin sellin it for higher price...lol).

The coins that are more valuable are the ones of any year that have a low mintage (less made) and have no wear (mint condition). Just depends on how many were made, and any with faults or a changed design part way through the mint can be worth more again.
The 5 cents and the old 10,20 and 50 cent coins are legal tender till the end of October.(Just not for our parking meters!!)
