| 477409 | 2006-08-09 08:30:00 | Hey Guys, I purchased a xbox360 game today, "FIFA 2006, Road to World Cup" and I only purchased it on advice from the salesperson, I asked if it was the same as the orginal XBOX "FIFA 2006" as it has premierships and all the extra leagues....and i got an adamant yes, so I purchased it without hestiation...$108.... came home, put it on, let bro play it while I cooked dinner, he came to me and said, wheres the damn leagues? how do you access them? And apparently, the game is exactly the same as the "Germany 2006" xbox360, just different method and layout etc... I put the dinner on, went back to the shop, was told refunds are not allowed due to copyrights, so explained why, they said theres nothing they can do, only replace the game with another one the same....not much point in doing that...so came home, had another look incase it was locked and stuff, and no luck there.... What can we do? And why is XBOX360 selling 2 identical games? And I want to know is FIFA 2006 for orginal xbox compatiable with xbox360? As I can try and argue for a switch, even if it means me losing $35.00...as its $80 retail for that one...as I really want the FIFA game, but not just the world cup, I want the extra leagues, and all those things.... Can I have some advice please.... Cheers in advance... |

This from the Consumers website: Examples A company sold computer software with a label attached to it stating no refund would be given if the package had been opened. The company was misleading people about their rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and was convicted and fined |

| 477412 | 2006-08-09 10:04:00 | cool, i'll talk to them tommorrow, do you know if FIFA 2006 for orginal xbox is compatiable? as I really want to play it....instead of the stupid world cup game only.... All i know is FIFA 2004 is coz a mate has it (his xbox died and he went to 360...and his games were compatiable apart from 2) so yeah...dont really want to go back 2 years.... Thanks heaps for your help too |
