477156 2007-10-15 05:25:00 My collection as of a couple weeks ago. I have sold most of them since then though, Couldn't use them all at once so decided to concentrate on the race buggies only.

Though I have built a track on the back lawn for the mirco RC in front of the others, I intend to get a hand full of them.

477158 2007-10-15 17:05:00 Nice Mets, what sort of radio gear do you use?

Also where did you get the E Savage?
The_End_Of_Reality (334)
477159 2007-10-15 20:34:00 The E-Savage I imported from America via Tower Hobbies. Now sold thanks to Trademe.

For radio gear I use Spektrum to avoid crystals, and just have a receiver for each car. (each car that I have left) I also keep one old style AM radio system in case someone else wants a go.

Have also switched my main racecar (the Losi, now also sold) over to a brushless combo. Now I need a new car to put it in.

Next on the list is Lipo batteries.

477160 2007-10-15 21:07:00 Oh OK, did you have to pay customes fees on it?

Good old Spektrum :D same reason I got mine.

Seems there is a never ending list of upgrades for these things... :dogeye:

477161 2007-10-15 22:35:00 I have never been stung for customs fees, and I import the vast majority of my gear.

However, I have been advised that $400 is the threshold, Asian stores routinely mark down the value of the items for the purpose of customs.

Just don't ask them to do it.

477162 2007-10-16 00:13:00 Oh OK, yeah, I have herd $400 is the threshold... Actually it is above as well... The_End_Of_Reality (334)
