Reason being, is that if you import anything worth over $400NZD (theres a label on the box with the senders declared value), it will be pulled by customs and they make you pay tax, which varies for different items. I think toys were 7%, either that or $14. And you have to pay that through a customs broker, whose fee will be $40-$50 per transaction. Theres 2 ways around it, either break the order down into several cartons (which wont always work), or, get the sender to under-declare the value, although most will decline. Keep that in mind when pricing up RC overseas! The savage is a BIG truck! ....Anyways, thats my life story :stare: ......Sorry! |
