| 706908 | 2008-09-26 22:09:00 | Hmmm, okay. If let's say I provide them a portable hard drive, would they be able to pop out the laptop's hard drive and transfer all the data to my external drive? Even at a cost? Are you able to do this yourself prior to taking the laptop in? You could use a friend's computer to connect your laptop's hard drive and do the transfer to a portable drive or DVD. That would be the safest way as I wouldn't trust them to save my important documents if it were me. |

I have got nowhere else to place my trust besides the Asus tech people . . . Anyway, I won't really fuss too much about backing up the files as I have already got the crucial documents . Cheers :) |

| 706910 | 2008-10-06 05:09:00 | Update: Last Monday I brought the laptop for repair. The tech guy agreed that the graphics card was at fault and a replacement of the entire motherboard was necessary. Within a week's time, they have got it repaired and now it is up and running in my room again. :D Thanks all (esp Jen) for the advice! |
