| 707479 | 2008-09-24 10:24:00 | Looking at the error code VDS fails to write boot code on a disk during clean operation. Error code: 80070015@02070008 It is actually the same as one that occurs in server 2008 - See if this works / if you can do it or has any effect - cant test it first as I cant replicate your problem. Go into Disk Management right click on the gray area on the disk that says 'unknowm or 'not intialised' - properties -- MPIO tab - by default the first path is Active/Optimised - if you have more then 1 path (as in our case) change this path to standby and try make one of the other paths Active/Optimised and tick the 'Preferred' check box and rescan - And one of the other paths should work. Edited: have you tried what Pctek suggested in post #2 , as in the drive not in the enclosure ? |

Since it installed the Drive and recognized it it wasn't the problem with the Drive but with my enclosure. So anyway i plugged it in and wallah! it worked! lol such a tiny problem don't know why i didnt think of it |

| 707482 | 2008-09-24 22:41:00 | Please help me out here i have 400GB worth of data on it. More importantly my dad put his backups on it to free up space on his laptop and now it was the only one he had of it. It's not a real back up if you are carting it around town. You could lose the lot by dropping it or leaving it somewhere. If I was him I'd buy my own drive. |
