477373 2006-08-11 05:33:00 That's easily fixed, Joe. Just get in your biggest vehicle, and find the US end of the cable to Australia. Tie a rope around the end of the cable and pull hard. With any luck, Australia will be attached firmly enough to come along. (Its PM is usually very keen to be close to the US.) NZ, being more independent, and with memories of Maui and his fishing line, might offer a bit more resistance. But I'm sure you have enough horsepower. Then attach the NZ backbone to the US one and that extra 160 ms will disappear. Graham L (2)
477374 2006-08-11 17:00:00 Joe, Is PressF1 always slow for you or only some times?, if it is only some times, maybe run a tracert when its slow then we might get a better idea?

477375 2006-08-12 15:30:00 Joe, I think I remember that you use Firefox, I am finding that PressF1 is slow to load only in Firefox, if I use Opera all is fine, I have tried this a number of times and although I have just experienced some problems with my computer I don't think it is the cause of the slo-down I am experiencing with Firefox only on PressF1. Not sure what is happening but could you try and see if you have the same problems with Opera or not?

I have a number of ways of seeing the incoming data speed and it is always slow only on Firefox on PressF1. It's as if the server is restricting the data or there is some bottleneck on my system when I use Firefox!!

I also have Firefox2 beta1 as well as Firefox 1.5.0.6 and it is very slow as well. Just tried IE6 and it is fine. 		zqwerty (97)
477376 2006-08-14 06:29:00 PressF1 is now back to normal, wasn't working ok last night when I switched off, this afternoon I switch back on and all is well. PS. I reboot at least twice a night. zqwerty (97)
