707562 2008-09-24 20:13:00 I need help in deciding about connecting a wireless router to my modem. From what I have seen and heard they are not all compatible. I need to know if an ASUS 520 GU Wireless Router + Printer Server will connect with an ADSL2+Router/Modem (D-Link). karbren (14078)
707563 2008-09-24 21:25:00 It's small and very easy to install. Doesn't have a power cord or a power switch. Very low profile.

It can cause the computer to lag while initiating, depending on your motherboard or USB card. :banana

707564 2008-09-26 20:50:00 I don't need to know how to install a router but need to ask if anyone has prior knowledge of how compatible separate modems and routers are. In my instance before I buy a wireless router does the ASUS router work with a D-Link ADSL2+Modem/Router? karbren (14078)
707565 2008-09-26 20:57:00 It'll probably be easier getting an all in one (wireless/modem/router and print server), instead of a separate modem/router and wireless.

Sometimes, its not that easy to configure both, so you can do something, so both play nice together.

707566 2008-10-04 00:59:00 I brought the router ASUS WL_520GU and connected it to me ADSL2+router/modem. It works with it and I am connected with my desktop. Problem is I cannot connect my sons laptop wirelessly. It has a ezysetup menu but I have since found out it doesn't always set up ezy. I ditched this and tried it manually. The laptop is a Fujitsu Lifebook V-series with a wireless network adapter. This picks up the router and each time I have used the ezysetup a different number and passphrase comes up. I copy this number when I try the manual connection but this denies me the security key/passphrase. Is there a way to find one to connect the both together? karbren (14078)
