| 707045 | 2008-09-22 23:08:00 | Hey all, I have limited the number of simultaneous connections of a Windows share (for security reasons), but when I have reached the limit and someone wants to get access to the share they can't (as expected), BUT when I free one up (by closing the share in Windows Explorer), to try and free up a 'space', access is still denied. Why is this? Can I somehow view connections and then force remote disconnection to one of those users to free up a space? Running Vista. |

| 707046 | 2008-09-22 23:21:00 | Dont know if this will work in Vista but have a look At these instructions (www.tar.hu) - the very last line on the bottom of the page. - Number 4 | wainuitech (129) | ||
| 707047 | 2008-09-22 23:21:00 | In XP I believe you had to restart the PC to clear the number of connections, so people could re-connect. Maybe they haven't fixed this in Vista? You could have a look at this article, may be of some assistance. www.tar.hu Edit - Snap wainui! :p |
