| 1431397 | 2017-01-30 10:45:00 | Hi all! Please help me to solve my problem. All of a sudden when I try to open .xlsx format*I get an error message that excel cannot open the file because the file format or file extension is not valid and when I click OK the message closes without opening the program. How to open or repair .xlsx file? Thank for any help you can provide. |

| 1431402 | 2017-01-31 00:07:00 | Excel 2007 also uses .xlxs. What you could try is to find an earlier version of the file as the current one may be corrupted. Using Windows Explorer find the file you are trying to open. Right Click on the File and select Properties Select the "Previous Versions" tab and see if it finds an earlier version. If so you should be able to select the previous version then restore it. Hopefully then you will be able to open the file albeit may have some missing info as it is an earlier version |
