Hi,Smithie 38,

Am intrigued by Speedy advocating the removal of Superantispyware
A daily scan varies from say 1 up to 700 between days and since I installed it I get literally no intrusions in antimalware
Am I becoming paranoid about what I get each scan?

1430937 2017-01-22 21:04:00 Maybe he was sugesting you don't need both of them. Driftwood (5551)

Yes that is what Speedy was suggesting and I only deleted Zemana. No way would I delete Superantispyware - too good a program not to have

You will find that a high percentage of what it finds are harmless cookies or temp files.

"IF" a person is not cleaning them out before doing a malware scan, Eg Ccleaner - then they will show as a nasty.

"IF" they are legit malware then if this happens on a daily basis, either a person is visiting some really dodgy sites everyday or something else is happening.

Stopped using Superantispyware a long time ago due to false positives, causing startup / Runing problems and generally missing legit Malware. I'd run it manually once every two weeks and never finds anything.

Yep, you really need to analyze what it finds & where it finds them.
Ive had a malware scanner find over 1000 infections that NOD missed . A meaningless result, none were ACTIVE infections, just leftovers & cookies & PUPS
Even Winzip can get picked up as an infection (PUP) .

I havnt found superantispyware to be anything great , not for many years anyway.
Many AV/malware scanners there were once great are now ho hum. Just keep moving on to better products, rather than stick with the one brand.
:)

This is the company that owns Superantispyware. Draw your own conclusions
