| 1430912 | 2017-01-23 03:05:00 | It was a power cut or outage all of taupo involved. With a power outage during an install, unless the computer is running from a UPS, can finish and then shut down normally, its always good idea to wipe the drive clean and start again. You never know what damage has been done to the OS, and seriously even doing it the slow way from a USB or DVD, only takes 30 odd minutes max. | wainuitech (129) | ||

| 1430914 | 2017-01-23 03:12:00 | With W10, now that its been installed, you don't need to put W8.1 in first. W10 can be installed, and auto activate once done, no need for product keys. | wainuitech (129) | ||
| 1430915 | 2017-01-23 03:27:00 | The power cut happened at techs workshop during the original 8.1 install. That should be a non-issue . The tech SHOULD have just wiped & started the install again, depending at what stage of install the power cut happened . However the freezing is a serious issue. The tech has replaced everything except the Hard drive: so he should be replacing that as well. Running out of parts that havnt been replaced. What was the exact startup issue ? Did it not turn on at all, did it turn on & not load windows, turn on & give an error message ? |
