1431523 2017-02-03 23:29:00 Hi,

I seem to have corrected a "loss of password fault" requiring fresh setting up of a new one each time in *************@hotmail.com

At first I queried whether Superantispyware ( commercial version ) was being over officious- now after a time and trial by disabling then re enabling it after a week it is now going correctly

Meanwhile to regain my Microsoft connection I was forced to create *************@outlook.com which is the latest Microsoft connection in place of hotmail which mine still has access / password problems- hence the fresh account to be able to carry on.

Question: Can I now delete the old hotmail account without stuffing up the new set up, which is going well

N B --I can still run the old account but now minus many icons and I assume their respective programs

I suppose it will delete a lot of junk if I do so but I lack the confidance to start doing so, hence the question
:nerd:

1431524 2017-02-05 08:07:00 Hi effie,

Yep that should work. The only thing that will really be affected are any apps you bought/used from the Windows store. When you revert to a local account you will need to sign into these apps individually with your Microsoft account but everything else should stay intact.

Check out this article (www.zdnet.com) for more info.
