1430732 2017-01-16 20:05:00 Hi Team

When I opened Mailwasher this morning and tried to open my personal email (account hosted by Xtra) I got the error message:

'Error connecting with ssl'

I have a business account that is hosted by Orcon and that seems to be OK

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed from here, so any advice would be welcome..............

Cheers

1430734 2017-01-16 20:43:00 Thanks Lurking

My web connection is OK (as evidenced by my PF1 message and my business connection being normal)
so perhaps it is something corrupted in my Xtra set-up in Mailwasher, either that or Xtra's service is down.

Fortunately I get few very personal emails so I can carry on with business.

Cheers

Expect more & more issues with xtra mail. Some issues just resolve themselves after a few days .Others not.

They seem to be having a major issue every other week lately, the issues status page on Sparks website often doesnt show the current issues (and never past issues)
2 weeks back I had to change my smtp from xtra to yahoo just to be able to send email : thats another known issue that Spark wouldnt admit to :not just me, I found my fix in the geekzone forum.
It will be a xtra/yahoo/spark issue (pop/imap/smtp login issue).
Its not your PC, its them . Good luck, you'll need it. And as it doesnt happen to everyone, Spark helpdesk wont have any idea of how to fix it
Try the Geekzone Spark forum, you may find someone with the same issue there that found a fix.

It also doesnt help when there is conflicting email setup into on sparks website (old & new setup info)
Try these settings , you may get lucky :)

You should be able to use webmail as a short term workaround.

Is this a panic implosion ?
