| 708271 | 2008-09-28 00:34:00 | Hello, I am working on an excel spreadsheet and am wanting to create hyperlinks based on the text, not on cell reference because I need to sort. I have a formula that works but the problem is with earlier versions of excel it does not work since it referenced .xlsx. I will need to have this formula conversion happy. The formula is: =HYPERLINK("[Book1.xlsx]Sheet2!" & ADDRESS(MATCH("A",Sheet2!A1:A100,FALSE),1),"Link To A") It was taken from a previous feed to link one spreadsheet to the next based on matching. Any suggestions on a different formula I may be able to use. Thanks! |

Your formula looks fine from here, hope the data matches, this could be causing the issue (of...?). Have you got the SAME options/settings in effect for 2007 as you had for 2003? If you save as xls in 2007 will it work? |
