Well worth signing up if you want a good website analysis system for your site. It used to be called "Urchin" (I think) and was expensive to buy. Now its free!

I have used it and if you have a smallish site its fantastic value for money compared to the pathetic web counters.

478921 2006-08-17 10:26:00 Is it any better than statcounter.com, netchicken? Is there any option within Google Analytic that allows you to index only specific folders in your website?

Cheers :)

Google Analytic is different to the Google search engine ;) so there is no option to do that. But you can add Google Analytic on any pages you want.

I Hope this is of some help :)

478923 2006-08-17 19:49:00 James you just insert a few lines of code to the head section of your page . Thats why I didn't think its suitable for a big site, unless you can auto insert the code it would be hard work . Also because of that you can choose to set which pages you want to follow .

Its far batter than any counter I have seen before .

Here is a screen shot from one of the pages you get, the menu down the left hand side has many options to chose from .

478924 2006-08-17 21:15:00 If your web hosting company was any good, they should provide reasonable web stats.

Anyway Google wants it so it can get more traffic stats to sell to companies
