2008-09-27 05:32:00 I'll do my best. Wher in the laptop do I find what display device / card I have, so I can match it against the T site? Cheers. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 05:37:00 Just search for tecra 8000 on the toshiba site

Or see if this will tell you (www.cpuid.com)

2008-09-27 05:37:00 OK. Can boot into Safe Mode, but can't seem to delete the driver that is causing the grief. Booting in Normal Mode stalls on the proprietary Win98 screen. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 05:44:00 Can't seem to do anything with the driver that's installed. option to 'Change' is greyed out. Is there another way i can install a device driver? Cheers. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 05:47:00 Right mouse on the desktop / settings, and change the driver back to the default one Speedy Gonzales (78)
2008-09-27 05:52:00 Unfortunately, that is just an alternate route to the same place, and as I say, the option to 'Change' is greyed out. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 05:58:00 You may have no other choice but to reformat it then. Speedy Gonzales (78)
2008-09-27 06:02:00 OK. Nothing lost. I'll try, again. Thanks. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 08:30:00 OK. Formatted the hard drive and did a reinstall of Win 98, installed NeoMagic Monitor Driver ex Toshiba site. It works fine. However, whenever booting up, Windows keeps detecting PnP Monitor and prompting to install another driver which was the default one that resulted in the small screen, previously. How can I stop it presenting that option, rather than 'cancel'ing out of it each time? Cheers. A Team (13613)
2008-09-27 09:45:00 Try cancelling it again and select the other one youve just installed as the default Speedy Gonzales (78)
