| 708104 | 2008-10-01 20:07:00 | Yes well i did tweak a lot of the files. i got an fps gain. but not by much. I guess it could be vista. If i OC the card it would run like a charm its just a matter of it not crashing. | jaymak (14211) | ||
| 708105 | 2008-10-01 20:55:00 | Well i OC'ed the card to 967/1667/950 /\ Its not 967 MHz lol 667 MHz Default Clocks: CORE BUS: 600 MHz MEMORY BUS: 900MHz I have changed the Clocks to: CORE BUS: 654 MHz MEMORY BUS: 975 MHz Right now i'm using nTune to OC it. Riva tuner doesn't support the latest drivers. The only thing i don't have control over is the fan speed. it doesn't allow me to tune it. It also doesn't show the temp of the GPU. |

It also doesn't show the temp of the GPU. nTune should show the GPU temperature - look for "Launch NVMonitor" in the performance section - when the box shows up, press the arrow in the bottom right hand corner of the box that appears. It will show a moving graph of the GPU temperature. |

Sum dude sped up just as i was crossing the road from tech. :annoyed: anyways im back home now in a cast lol. i know about NVmonitor but it doesnt show me my GPU temps. Ive tried various 3rd party programs and none of them show me my temps. I know for a fact that i can keep my hand on the card while in the middle of crysis and it wont hurt. ( i updated my driver and i can play crysis on very high and same frame rate as high.) But it says that the driver has stopped responding and has recovered after going black for a few seconds. Not only does this happen during crysis but any other game. |

| 708109 | 2008-10-15 22:38:00 | get 'gpu z' Tried it and it doesn't read my graphics card temp. Do you think i've installed my graphics card wrong for this to happen? |

| 708110 | 2008-10-15 22:54:00 | hang on hang on hang on! :) what im reading is that your FPS drop to 22-25FPS ? is this when you hit the record button? if this is the case this is completley normal - when you hit record the computer has to dump the raw video to the hard drive - and thus it limits the FPS so your computer doesnt completley pack its pants you will then have to convert and compress the raw video with something like autogk as the files will be HUGE (1gb per minute of raw footage roughly) you cans set the game to high resolutions but it will still limit it to 25FPS - there is an option to record at a specific FPS in Fraps itself but the more FPS recorded the bigger the file |

| 708113 | 2008-10-15 23:27:00 | Give HWMonitor (www.cpuid.com) a try. If none of the programs work it could possibly be a driver issue or a faulty sensor on the card. | stormdragon (6013) | ||
