I had to rebuild my computer from scratch. I have caller ID on my landline phones and prior to the rebuild (and without any additional programs loaded onto the computer)I would get a pop up on the screen with who was calling me. That feature is now lost after the rebuild. Is this a Windows XP issue or a modem issue? My modem is a BCM v.90 56K modem. I also have a laptop with Windows XP and it is still showing the incoming calls, so I know it’s not the phone line |

Probably a modem issue, have you installed the drivers for it?
Since it should support caller id as well |

I think so, but I know nothing about modems. I did insert my driver disc and download from it. I guess I figured if my computer dialed into my ISP and I could connect to the internet things must be OK. How do I know if I have the correct things loaded? |
