| 480459 | 2006-08-29 11:54:00 | Notice... it's almost always the males that are ok with women showing their naked breasts, and the sleazier amongst them are ok with pornography. I've had this argument recently, and here's the thought... if you're ok with your daughter, girlfriend, mother, sister, grandmother, wife going around nine tenth's naked in public, then I accept that's your point of view. A lot of the guys that promote naked breasts in public are also into porn - so imagine the females in your own family doing the same. Still ok? Your grandma doing it in front of stupid male apes leering and j*****g to it? Charming. Your daughter doing it, or your wife? Happy? |

| 480461 | 2006-08-29 12:31:00 | Now this is interesting.... I fail to see anywhere in my posts where I mentioned a religious element, yet immediatly the assumption was reached that I was christian. I was speaking totally from an ethical and moral viewpoint, looking at the effects of yet another form of nastiness festering in our society. If I had come out against heroin or smoking, or some other socially destructive persuit that people here seem to like, would I still get label as christian? Or is that merely a stereotype and label that you put on an argument that you cannot muster the ability to refute, so that it doesn't get addressed as such but dismissed? This parade was sponsored and promoted by porn sellers and promoters, if you wish to support them, then I'll make sure I stay away from anything you have hidden under your beds :) :) I await the future where we have bestiality parades, that you guys can take your donkeys too. :) :) :) |

Do you think all the guys catching a look are going to the local R18 shop to buy up? Similar argument; people think a casual smoke(cannabis) with mates will lead to hard drug use and crime. Both arguments are utter bullocks!! ps. All religion is also utter bullocks, religion is only followed by small minded people who have no thought process of their own. :) |

| 480463 | 2006-08-29 19:40:00 | What i find amusing is the assumption that seeing "porn" or a parade with genuine boobs and bikes will somehow lead people to some depraved and undefined lifestyle . I think it's true that it is tied with libido, and it's also true that those with too much libido may look at porn, shag anything, and generally get themselves in trouble . OK, that sums up my misspent youth, where i looked at printed porn, sometimes woke up next to someone that was a living example of the beer goggles principle, and generally failed to get on with more constructive things as i was distracted by the desire to **** If you want to see the end of the porn industry, then all one has to do is put chemicals in the water to kill everyones libidos, and/or reorder our society into one where women are afraid to show there faces that are then kept covered under a veil . God help the poor kids who find themselves used as a outlet by those who are claiming righteous celibacy while we live in the all new smut free society . All the parade does is bring out into public the fact that guys, and a lot of women like to look . There's nothing shocking here, yet so many spectators were unwilling to be caught on camera, as we live in a repressed society where people like to pretend that they are not the sexual being that they are . And why shouldn't we look when it's there on display? We look at a beautiful mountain, enjoy a sunset or a nice painting, yet when a glimpse of body is seen, we are somehow caught in the politics of weather or not we are allowed to look at such things . The more we hide it, the more it becomes taboo, and the more hung up we get, and the more we hide it . I could think of nothing worse than returning to a pompous age when ankles were never bared . No wonder sex is so often seen as naughty, and sexual politics remain not only the curse of our society, but the barrier that many of us fail to overcome even if we want a partner . I'm pro the parade because it helps us get over it . So thank-you to those that made an issue of it . Without you i wouldn't have given it more thought other than assume the parade would have been fun to be at . |
