| 480548 | 2006-08-26 02:21:00 | You can do a search on Lat/Long can't you? I haven't used Google Earth for ages so I can't remember :)Yup I was right - in the standard search (or 'Fly to' or whatever it's called) just type in you Lat/Long. Remember to put a minus if you're looking in the Southern Hemisphere... eg -37.123, 176.382 Mike. |

| 480549 | 2006-08-27 01:55:00 | It's a pity Google Earth doesn't have an option to enter the latitude and longitude coordinates into the program to go straight to each location rather than having to navigate there yourself . It's way too much hassle . :( That's how I do it . . . I just c/p the values in the FLY TO area . . . . . . . . . and I found Arnie's place on what looks like a curve on a road that looks like a driveway from the main road . . . . . and what looks like a pond of some sort out in the back yard . . . fish? ducks? Beautiful hills and green . . . . I promise that no-one will call at your door . . . the swim would be tough for me . . . . . Lagbort . . . about 1/2 mile from the water and at 58 feet altitude . . . makes the walk pretty easy without a steep climb . . . . what's the name of that harbor/inlet? GEarth is very confused and reports that water to be 185 feet above sea level . . . . hmmmmmmm :p . . . . Miami Steve . . . . yeah . . 5 ft is a little low . . . are you worried about the polar caps melting? The houses there appear to be single-story . . . . can you climb trees? . . . . Trev . . . is that a schoolyard behind you? . . . . it's very large and green and well mowed . You're also very close to the ocean too . . . . . Gibler . . . . you are so far south . . . almost to the end of your island . . . I guess it's really cold there this time of the year . . . . Dunedin is very impressive with the street and houses . . we think the rest of the world is rather rural . . . and we forget that there are other places much like ours . You're still rather close to the ocean too . . . about a mile or so? . . . Cicero . . . you can't fool me . . . I can see the breathing hole from your underground house, and you forgot to hide the tire marks going into what seems to be a small bunch of bushes . . . obviously your secret underground batcave . Thanks all who gave up their secret hidey-holes . . . I try to imagine people that I see in print and posting here living in those places . I just returned from a 3-day trip, hauling a 1964 Mustang to a friend in Nevada . . . near Fort Churchill, to his new house . Trips like that make me think about how large and yet incredibly small the world is . |

| 480550 | 2006-08-27 01:57:00 | I have insufficient RAM on my $65 computer to run GE :( I'm close enough to Jade stadium that finding that on the map would be as good as finding me..... Anyone feel like looking? I will...but Google Earth wants an address and city, state...etc....just to find that stadium. |

| 480551 | 2006-08-27 02:18:00 | Those breathing holes are in fact silos, but keep it quite . . . . Cicero . . . you can't fool me . . . I can see the breathing hole from your underground house, and you forgot to hide the tire marks going into what seems to be a small bunch of bushes . . . obviously your secret underground batcave . |

I'd hate to have to re-shingle that roof! Does that small river have any trout in it? I see it running North of your place to the inlet, and there appear to be some abrupt canyon-like walls on the North side of it too . Your house is about the highest one in the neighborhood with a view over all the "little people" nearer to the water . |

I am not sure, I don't think we have trout here in this part of NZ . . . No, it is not that deep . I will tell you something . . . we have just had a HUGE amount of rain here and that whole paddock you see to the east and north was all under water from the river . Yes, it is very hight up, it is a pain in the rear biking up the road to get here too :p Yes, we do have a fairly good view, can see the inlet and at least we won't get flooded!!! :p |
