708965 2008-10-01 14:05:00 What's strange is that I have AVG and WinAmp on three puters...all the same versions and my (SOYO/ATHLON) media unit is the only one to get this threat assessment.

I'll stand by a while and see if things change on either the rest of my units or somehow my SOYO gets things straight.

If not...then maybe I'll look into AVAST.

708966 2008-10-01 21:45:00 Have you tried uploading one of the infected files to www.virustotal.com? Agent_24 (57)
708967 2008-10-01 22:06:00 The Winamp false positive has been sorted with the latest AVG update.

Dumping AVG for Avast might fix some things but Avast is noted for false positives.

708968 2008-10-01 22:57:00 Its just a false positive. Get a new version of AVGs def file or another AV. But other AVs occasionally give false positives too. pctek (84)
708969 2008-10-02 00:05:00 Thanks guys..and gals....it's just precautionary on my behalf that I pulled all of WinAmp out...but I have trusted AVG for a few years and when it barks, I pay attention. SurferJoe46 (51)

Never had any FP's running Avast on 3 comps for over 2 years
