709021 2008-10-01 05:49:00 Hi all, I accidentally deleted the wrong email account from Incredimail . Now I am unable to "connect with Xtra through Incredimail .

I have build ID: 525 the settings are: pop3 . xtra . co . nz (Incoming) send . xtra . co . nz (Outgoing) checked logon using secure password authentication . Also checked "my server requires authentication" (Outgoing)

Have the port numbers set at 995 (Incoming) and 465 (Outgoing) Both are unchecked at "This server requires a secure connection" Grrr I really need this working!

Can anyone help me make it work?

And yes before anyone says, it is a crappy program but I am still using it as I am scared of losing the emails I want to keep and am unsure if I can (Or how) to install a new program and transfer all the emails I must keep! Can anyone help?

Thanks :)

709022 2008-10-01 06:00:00 Hi Lani, welcome to PressF1.

Put these (xtra.co.nz) settings in, you should be OK.

Incredimail is a horrible email program :p Outlook Express is much nicer. Easiest way to get back to OE (or outlook, thunderbird.. you pick one) is save the messages you want to keep (open message, file/save) you can then drag and drop the messages into folders in Outlook Express or Outlook.

I initially input these settings and I was definitely unable to connect with xtra.

I'm very sure I input the setting exactly as described.

Any further ideas?

709024 2008-10-01 06:06:00 Can you log onto your YahooXtra webmail? That way you can at least check and make sure the username and password you have are correct.

Here's (login.yahoo.com) the link.

709025 2008-10-01 06:08:00 Eeek! @ saving the 200+ emails individually.

I am incredibly sentimental though.....Maybe it is time to get rid of them?

You said you were using secure incoming with port 995

You should have secure SSL turned off for incoming and the port set to 110

Yeah, Incredimail is a real pain like that, once you have it, its difficult to get your email out of it.

www.rauno.com

That used to work, dunno if it still does.

709029 2008-10-01 06:11:00 Yup can still log into YahooXtra webmail.

Username and password are definitely correct.

I'd try setting the mail account up in OE with default settings and see if that works.

you definitely have SSL etc and the right ports for incredimail as per the link I posted?
