708765 2008-09-30 01:17:00 As far as I can tell its the same site just a local server.
Maybe its so you only pay local data charges for the content instead of international

I would say it's for localised content not a local server, eg. filtering content for NZ'ers.

The servers are most likely still in overseas data centers.

708768 2008-09-30 01:45:00 Update

If i click on the New zealand button near the top left, and change it to worldwide it fixes the problem by going to youtube.com

but i have never had to do this before.

708769 2008-09-30 04:48:00 Clear cache and temp internet folders, on FF clear private data, hd this problem with Trademe not letting me see countrywide listings only Nelson ones the above fixed it. gary67 (56)
708770 2008-10-01 11:15:00 All it is is they've changed it a few days ago so that it looks at your ip address (google does the same), sees it's located in NZ, and so redirects you to the NZ site. Of course, if you do for whatever reason prefer the global/US site this could be a bit annoying, as you'll have to specificall click the 'worldwide' link now. Kindel (6640)
