708419 2008-09-28 21:55:00 Well-l-l-l . . . I had them stored somewhere else and WMP did NOT destroy anything . . . but I wonder what happened?

I immediately checked for RootKits, Registry changes, did a bunch of scans and ran HJT and . . . NOTHING!

The files all re-entered all well and good (NZ= "And Bob's Your Auntie") and I got everything back and even removed a few deadwood links and dups . . . but I wonder . . . . . .

I just know that there are oodles of people that say to NOT use WMP . . . and I still rather like it a lot . . . it feels right and has a user-friendly interface that I can understand and use really well . . . BUT . . . . . .

Is there anything else that LOOKS LIKE WMP, SMELLS LIKE WMP and ACTS LIKE WMP . . . I mean, but without the "corruption-ability" thing? .
