709673 2008-10-04 01:54:00 Hello members
I just bought a SATA2 drive without to much thinking about the connection and now I wonder if there are any adapters available for the Interconnection between NEW SATA II Hard Drive & OLD IDE Connection
Thanks

709674 2008-10-04 02:31:00 You would probably need a SATA 2 PCI card Speedy Gonzales (78)

709676 2008-10-04 02:52:00 Nope something similar to this but this is SATA 1 I think (www.dse.co.nz) You could use this but at SATA 1 speed

BUT, I think there are SATA 2 cards as well

So a straight adaptor on the HDD wouldn't work?
