482356 2006-09-08 17:04:00 I thought only Aussie bird life did that. Our Tui's sleep in a bit later than 4:30amI correct what I said previously... it's now 4:00am and the damn tui is already having a lot to say for itself! :dogeye: Greg (193)

482360 2006-09-10 05:44:00 It's easy to tell the difference between a Tui and a Bellbird.

The Tui tastes a little gamier and has darker meat, the Bellbird meat is a little paler like chicken.

Once you discover that, the noise will probably be gone as well.

They would only be a mouthful each. So that's why there's not many Tui and Bellbirds down south eh :yuck:

You do need quite a few, if hungry. Best done in a pastry pie.
But it fixes the noise.

482363 2006-09-11 07:10:00 I think it follows, that if you are eating said birds, the noise levels are much reduced. Cicero (40)
482364 2006-09-11 12:52:00 They sound just like thrushes.
I went shooting one weekend, taking my dog with me incase I came across some cattle. I took rather a fast trip down a bank which my dog sensibly decided not to follow. Comming out of the gully I was whistling my dog when I heard an imitation. It was a cheeky Bell bird
