482202 2006-09-05 03:45:00 Oh yes! On all sides of the debate.

I read a couple of Richard Heinberg's essays the other night, extracts from books I believe. While the subject (historical, cultural trauma) was not directly related to peak oil and the consequential massive changes to societies and world order he talks about in the link, IMO, he stretched credibilty past breaking point with some of his assertions.

However, I don't think there can be any doubt that peak oil will be reached, and some time soon. Nor do I think anyone should doubt, that once a little way over the slippery slope, things will get very interesting indeed for many counties if not the human race in it's entirety. Change is inevitable, it's how we collectively deal with the issues and bring in the new that is of most concern to me. Something tells me, we are going to get a little less sharing and caring, maybe even feudal.

I would like to see the evidence for this.

482207 2006-09-05 05:04:00 ^^ hey good point about the chinese thingy,
but yea the problem with this NWO governement is that corrupt people are in control of its movement.
These people are willing to murder thousands of their own citizens as false flag operations so they can goto war and kill even more inncoent life.
Dont tell me you would want your kids being brought up with these sorts of people in power.

Having such a world government will probably lead to the enslavement of its citezens, the loss of freedoms, and i think we can do something to stop it.

At this point we do not have a New World Government do we? I'm also thinking we never will have. This NWO has been mentioned in the past.

I live in New Zealand and we have a Labour led coalition at this time.

I would like to bring up my own children and do not expect the Governent to do it for me.

This enslavement and loss of freedom as you put it well what do you think WE can do to stop it?

As I was not around in the 1800's I did not see the Maori wars. I know that there were problems and still are for that matter.

Maybe you should create a new political party and get what votes you can.

Whatever your agenda.

482209 2006-09-05 05:30:00 I must say, the so-called NWO has less influence in NZ, while we continue to not align fully with the so-called head of the NWO - the US. And I for one (as well as many of us here) are glad to live here in NZ.

As to oil, I am watching this space carefully as I have a gas-guzzler myself.

Do I have to do everything? findarticles.com

Essentially humans are consuming the earths natural resources faster than they can reproduce. And it is accelerating. Yes, food is still becoming cheaper and more plentiful - but at the cost of bio-diversity. Easier to grow vast acreages of one wheat variety than 20 different varieties.

As I understand it, by 1960 we killed/ate plants, animals, and insects as fast as they could reproduce. Today we have gone way beyond that. And China and India want the same standard of living as the West, so their population will put more pressure on the Earth to get the resources.

Civilisations have died in the past and it has been ecological disaster which wiped them out. The Sumarians, Easter Islanders, and the Mayans are the best examples. What is interesting is that they each reached a high peak but within 100 years had virtually disappeared. It's dramatic stuff but quite logical.
