Sometimes I mail stuff to Auckland and it takes a day or 2, other times it has taken up to 10 days. (same size, same postage, same Post Shop, same destination address) Beats me why. My Listener comes from Auckland and is supposed to arrive Monday - sometimes it does, more often its Tuesday, occasionally Wednesday or even Thursday. |

Our Listener usually arrives in Invercargill on Monday, but has come on Saturday several times. We actually like it on Saturday - can do the X words in a more relaxed way, with a more functional brain.:rolleyes: |

| 482713 | 2006-09-05 09:57:00 | Maybe your postie just finds the Listener is a good read on some weeks :lol: My postie - my neighbours mother and I know her having fixed her PC, the golf clubs which she also runs and set up her MF printer - gets it on these days. She delivers straight away usually at 6:30am. R.M - lucky you - maybe it takes an extra day to get out here from Invercargill. |

Then they apply an inverse square function to determine the transport speed. If you really want it, like a new Microsoft product, it comes very slowly. If it's something useful, like the new Listener, it gets average priority. If something is unwanted by the recipient, like a bill, it gets high priority.
