710301 2008-10-07 04:46:00 Hi,

I have successfully installed Win XP SP2 onto my Macbook OS 10 Leopard.
The wireless in Macbook OS still works fine with my Win PC Desktop, but I cannot get the wireless to connect to my network when I switch to Windows.
The Macbook connects to my Netgear Wireless Router which is connected to the PC.

Any Ideas? :)

710302 2008-10-07 05:24:00 Have you run the bootcamp drivers for XP plod (107)
710303 2008-10-07 07:29:00 Well, when Windows had set itself up ok, I took the install disc out and loaded the OS X Leopard like they said to. It didn't show anywhere on it to load drivers, nowhere I could see anyway. But when Windows was loading, it seemed to install them, and everything is ok in Device Manager.

I can get it to connect to my network if I disable the WPA security. But that is not ideal of course.

710304 2008-10-07 19:47:00 I had another look in at the OS X disc and yes the drivers are there and yes they had all been installed correctly. I am suspecting the problem lies with the network and the wireless in the Windows partition doesn't have a network address.
It is set for automatic connection, so I thought it would just ask for the WPA passcode and all would be hunky dory.
How do I give it one?

710305 2008-10-07 23:05:00 I'm not an expert when dealing with wi-fi on Windows so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe that a Windows update is required for WPA2 support. Is your network using WPA2 or plain old WPA? Nermal (7077)
710306 2008-10-07 23:52:00 Thanks for your reply Nermal,
I have WPA2-psk on the network. So yes, it may be that it needs the update. Trouble is I can't connect to the network to get it. As I said I can only connect when I disable security, maybe I will just have to do it that way, or perhaps try it with WEP only.

Cheers LL

710307 2008-10-08 05:14:00 Hey that worked! Put router onto no security and got windows updates. Changed back to security and voila! She's away, sweet as!

Many thanks Nermal, :clap
