| 484770 | 2006-09-14 10:28:00 | Anyone out there has a satellite dish installed with diameter of aout 1.8 or 2m? Just want to know how difficult it is to install and whether it needs a council permit (if installation is on floor level. Is it worth getting such a satellite dish or SKY is sufficient? do they have a free sports channel for soccer and rugby? | Taurus (9579) | ||
| 484771 | 2006-09-14 10:52:00 | what channels are you after? most of the time you only need such large dishes is if your after oversseas channels (eg asia, russia etc, not sure whats advailable at the mo) or your at the far end of skys sat recetion range (ie bottom south island). afaik i think that size dosn't need permits. the last time i was involved in a 3m+ size dish you did need permits (may varyt depending on council etc). |
