| 483423 | 2006-09-09 01:08:00 | I recently switched from Xtra to Xnet. I was without connection for an hour and a half. My brother was down for a whole weekend but that was because Telecom had some stuff-up with a whole bunch of changeovers and couldn't be reached until Monday. |

| 483424 | 2006-09-09 01:35:00 | I switched from Orcon to Xnet a while ago. I didn't have any downtime at all. When I switched, there was a small tiem window where I could connect with either Xnet or Orcon. I thought that Telecom had to physically change something when you switched ADSL providers, but that can't be the case or I wouldn't have been able to conect with orcon once I was switched over. |

Have a look at this thread: pressf1.co.nz as it has a few sites in there that you could compeer ISP & see if there are any ISPs that give you 20gb for less then $50 (You will be very very lucky to find an ISP that does that) i have started to get real sh*** speeds with ihug since past 1 mounth..enough is enough. Dont forget it could be the exchange your connected to is overload or is having issues. Hope this is off some help :) |
