| 710634 | 2008-10-15 06:49:00 | I noticed from the screenshot that DHCP was not enabled for your wifi connection. I would suggest that you enable it. Sorry, can't give you a step by step at the mo as I am not on a windows machine | wongtop (14232) | ||
| 710635 | 2008-10-16 05:40:00 | I went to www.wikihow.com to see how to enable DHCP, followed the instructions by typing 191.168.1.1 into the address bar but it comes back as "connection interrupted, the document contains no data. The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again"... tried again but same message... I'll put that other thing onto cd now. It seems when I put .exe files onto cd, it never shows up on the other computer. I'll try anyway | deno240 (13664) | ||
| 710636 | 2008-10-16 05:50:00 | wireless is working! I had changed the IP numbers in the wireless properties and then obtained ip automatically and then it worked... edited to say, google works, I can search on google but can't connect to any other website.... so it's the same as it is when the ethernet cord is in, but I'll download that exe file and see if that helps, and thank you to everyone for your help!! and to speedy for analyzing the hijack log :) |
