| 484606 | 2006-11-12 09:38:00 | Yes of course that may be the voting split for Auckland council, but of course greater Auckland has a number of councils, the North Habour proposal will be i think North Shore council, the Manukau option is of course Manukau Council, it is probably i think a given which way those council members would vote. | gommerkrinkle (11137) | ||

Of course, under Go Large, teams would be 5 aside, not permitted to exceed a walking pace and with a ping-pong ball instead of the usual rugby ball. Naturally, Theresa would manage it, Winston would handle the travel, and it would be ready for the next Millennium. ;) | R2x1 (4628) | ||
| 484608 | 2006-11-13 00:58:00 | $10,000 per seat!!! That's a lot to spend for a cramped plastic seat crowded by all the other seats, and with no dedicated parking, in a city where travel is practically gridlocked. Staying home and watching events in the warmth and comfort of a lounge chair - costs NOTHING. I do not support the stadium. |

Staying home and watching events in the warmth and comfort of a lounge chair - costs NOTHING. I do not support the stadium. The new 90,000 seat Olympic stadium in China is costing about $NZ650 million, and is a far superior design, and actually has a roof. Because of the division in Dorklands councils, it looks like eden park is going to be the final option. I think a new stadium is a good idea, but the 120 million just for the platform is out of this world for a price, when the entire wellingtion stadium was built for $120 million. This is a far better location for the new stadium and wouldn't need a platform. i68.photobucket.com |

| 484610 | 2006-11-13 04:43:00 | my 2cents: Welly or Chch would be my vote. NZ would be better off spending the money on other issues. Could either of Jade or Cake Tin be made suitable? Can we get a poll in this thread Mod? |

| 484613 | 2006-11-13 09:43:00 | First Britomart, now a stadium. Has everyone forgotten that Auckland was built on a volcanic area? The experts were saying a few years back that the next volcano is due anytime from now to 300 years away and will probably appear in the sea off Birkenhead. There has to be a better place to put it. | Mercury (1316) | ||

Well Wellywood is due for a major earthquake, but they still built a stadium and TePapa. You have to live for today. |
