| 710228 | 2008-10-06 22:38:00 | Hi there Ive noticed over the last 2-3mths, in some websites, banner text is sitting atop smaller related text items. The latest is on http://Webbase.co.nz, when it appears on my screen, the word Domain Names Only, the latter part of the text sits atop the "Learn More info" button. Similar things appear on www.theage.com.au where Ypour Melbourne is partially obscured with an image and Im told its one I manage http://hbhb.co.nz/ but Ive never seen it occur there. That last site hbhb.co.nz is basically two tables containing the text with no locked frames or absolute layers involved within the page. Thanks for you comments. John in Mosgiel. |

| 710234 | 2008-10-06 23:29:00 | Regarding the Age, it seems to work fine in Opera 9.51, and every other browser I threw at it, Kind of puts me off updating opera a bit Attached file: age-3.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (54 KB) Although the HBHB site does appear screwy, although that looks like a layout issue |

| 710236 | 2008-10-07 00:49:00 | Hi John its to do with the way your tables are laid out is this a generated page (from a cms) or one you put together yourself? Attached file: hbhb-1.jpg (www.imagef1.net.nz) (63 KB) |

| 710237 | 2008-10-07 01:07:00 | Im using IE7, my hbhb.co.nz website uses either Tahoma or Arial text. I havent had a prob there, thouh Ive been weent a screen dump showing the RH column text being over written with content from the LH column. Hi John The problem is caused by your layout of the tables. The section with the image and the text "come along with Dusty the lusty barmaid" needs to be part of the table that is below it, OK I have explained that badly, But what is happening in Opera is that it is creating the table for the next section directly after the first bit of text rather than under the image which is what IE and Firefox are doing, this is an issue with your code not the browser, to get round this simply replace this code <br> <b><font size="2" color="#003366"> <a href="DD_2008.htm" > <img border="0" src="images/BlackHorseBreweryDustyDaff.jpg" width="330" height="233" align="left"></a></font><font size="2"> Come along with Dusty <br> your Lusty, Busty Barmaid</font><font color="#FF0000" size="2">.</font></b><span style="font-size: 9pt" ><font color="#FF0000"> <br> </font> <br> Enjoy a meal and sample the <br> New Generation <font color="#FF0000"><b>Black Horse Brew </b></font> <br> at Harts Black Horse Brewery <br> <br> </span> <b><font size="2" color="#003366"> <a href="DD_2008.htm" style="text-decoration: none"> <font color="#003366"> DAFFODIL DAYZE 2008</font></a> </font><font size="2" color="#FF0000">Sun 5th Oct.</font></b><span style="font-size: 9pt" > <br> </span><font style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt" face="Tahoma">Amongst the ruins of the brewery at Weatherstons <br> “Hart's Black Horse Brewery" <br> </font><span style="font-size: 9pt" > <br> <img border="0" src="images/Daffodils.jpg" width="34" height="30"></span><table border="0" width="100%" id="table7"> With this <table border="0" width="100%" id="table7"> <tr> <td valign="top"> <b><font size="2" color="#003366"> <a href="DD_2008.htm" > <img border="0" src="images/BlackHorseBreweryDustyDaff.jpg" width="330" height="233" align="left"></a></font><font size="2"> Come along with Dusty <br> your Lusty, Busty Barmaid</font><font color="#FF0000" size="2">.</font></b><span style="font-size: 9pt" ><font color="#FF0000"> <br> </font> <br> Enjoy a meal and sample the <br> New Generation <font color="#FF0000"><b>Black Horse Brew </b></font> <br> at Harts Black Horse Brewery <br> <br> </span> <b><font size="2" color="#003366"> <a href="DD_2008.htm" style="text-decoration: none"> <font color="#003366"> DAFFODIL DAYZE 2008</font></a> </font><font size="2" color="#FF0000">Sun 5th Oct.</font></b><span style="font-size: 9pt" > <br> </span><font style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt" face="Tahoma">Amongst the ruins of the brewery at Weatherstons <br> “Hart's Black Horse Brewery" <br> </font><span style="font-size: 9pt" > <br> <img border="0" src="images/Daffodils.jpg" width="34" height="30"></span></td> </tr> Note this only fixes that layout problem |
