| 709981 | 2008-10-06 06:31:00 | Hey everyone. I have a pretty old CRT monitor for my geforce 8800gs (Dell e773s) Anyway here is the problem, I remember displaying 1280x1024 on one of my previous graphics card through this monitor (unsupported). So I thought I would be clever and muck around with rivatuner by trying to set the 1280x1024 custom resolution, it appeared to do nothing. So I went to the nvidia panel and decided to enable unsupported resolutions, Then I picked 1280x1024@60Hz. It obviously didn't work, What is had done is gone back to 640x480 but was displaying everything at 1280x1024. What I am saying is there were 1280x1024 pixels but I was looking at them in giant in 640x480 so I would have to move my mouse to the side of the screen and it would move to information I couldn't see. Now everytime I start a game it starts in this 640x480 resolution reguardless of the set 1024x768, If I set it to 800x600 or 1024x768 it will display the two in 640x480 in big, if I set it to 640x480 it's normal. Any idea guys on what to do? Thanks guys. |

| 709984 | 2008-10-06 21:53:00 | You are scrolling the 12x10 resolution with a 6x4 res on the monitor. Try putting the setting to default, this should restore resolutions to both, if not try what wratterus suggested with the monitor OSD. If you want to try different settings, I would download the monitor inf file so you use setting the monitor can handle. |

| 709985 | 2008-10-08 01:12:00 | I've narrowed it down a bit. It's only when I set a resolution to 60Hz it reverts back to 640x480 (While displaying 800x600 or 1024x768) This could be something to do with trying to set 1280x1024 60Hz in rivatuner and nvidia control panel? Any ideas cause this is so annoying. Especially because my projector only displays 60Hz D=. | CaptainVincent (76) | ||

| 709987 | 2008-10-08 02:35:00 | Well its probably because the monitor cant handle that refresh at that resolution..... It can and previously has. This problem has just started probably due to riva tuner or my nvidia settings custom res. |
