I just bought the standalone DVD Recorder "DSE( Dicksmith Electronics ) model G1598" from trademe. It was said the DVD Recorder "As New" and working.
Here is the link for the manual:
www.dse.co.nz ... s/SUPG1598

I tried different ways to write the DVD but it was not successful. It has been said that the DVD recorder is working fine.
Please advice me to successfully write the DVD. Things required to consider in settings etc.

I wasted few DVDS. When ever I write the DVDs different things happned to me, like:
Once I stop the DVD Recording and take out, it does not play that burnt DVD in the same DVD player or any other DVD player
( I tried in my computer as well)
Second time It was showing DVD 99% free, even i wrote for 1 hour.
Third time, it was not responding at all, my DVD Recorder from which DVD was recorded, it was like hanged
( I make sure the DVD mode was selected not recordring while play)

I tried different-different ways.

Here are the few things I have considred in writting:
(1) DVD format supported is DVD+R and I am using DVD+R.
(2) I tried VHS(video) Output->(in)TV(out)->(in)DVD Recorder
(3) I tried VHS(video) Output->(in)DVD Recorder
(4) I am using 16X DVD+R.
(5) I have used Red-White(Audio) and Yellow(Video) cables as input to DVD Recorder.
I didn't try Component or any other cables.
(6) DVD+R Brand is "RiDATA"

I had selected different sources on my DVD Recorder as well.

Thanks,
prayami (13094)
