Heard a massive bang, later saw on the news it was a meteorite, at the time I wondered if the Canterbury Brewery boiler had blown up or something. |

yes was talking to an airline pilot at that moment and we immediately recognised it as multiple sonic booms from several pieces of very fast material.
so as it went from horizon to horison in just a few seconds it had to be a meteor |
