| 711026 | 2008-10-09 07:40:00 | Ive been using Verdana and MS serif, now Arial in frustration trying to get a universal Arial type font face on a website. Inevatably they come out looking like Times Roman, which in 9 point type is pretty condensed. How do I get fonts to display like those in Stuff.co.nz, which is the ideal in my view, so to speak. Thanks John in Mosgiel. |

A good basic place to start is - <style> body { font: 10pt/1.4 verdana, tahoma, sans-serif; } h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 { font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; } </style> IMO, Verdana's a nicer body text to read vs Arial, but Helvetica/Arial makes a nicer sans-serif heading type. |

Font size 14(4) is bold and is useful for paragraph headings. Avoid specialist fonts which your viewers may not have, also they will not display in Linux. Stick to one font, looks very messy with a didderent font on each page. |
